The Rio Grande Valley of Texas is a hot spot for birdwatchers from across the country due to the fact that there are so many different species of birds here including several species which you will not find anywhere else in the country.  These are but a few of the different species of birds found here that I have been able to photograph.

These are all photos I took while photographing for the Valley Land Fund wildlife photo contest and were all taken in my backyard.
